As I said, no wonder that the band is taking a step back from big international tours. They actually played together long before forming Anvil, according to “Anvil! The Story of Anvil”, a 2005 documentary about the band (and inspiration for website name), Kudlow and Reiner were playing together since 1973. Over the years band lineup has changed several times, but Kudlow and Reiner were always there as the core band members. The two is currently joined by Chris Robertson on bass. Kudlow is the lead vocalist and guitarist, while Reiner plays the drums.

Anvil, the band – beginningsīand that we know and love today as Anvil was first formed all the way back in 1981 by Steve “Lips” Kudlow and Rob Reiner. Hope that they still keep on rocking for many years to come. We’re really lucky to love a band that’s so devoted to their music and us, their fans. It’s really refreshing to see that a band that has been around since the 80s still pushing out albums, and touring as much as Anvil does. I can’t wait to hear what the boys have made up with since Pounding the Pavement. From what I’ve heard, Steve “Lips” Kudlow has said that they will start recording sometime this October, which means 2020 release. The band is also in the process of making a new album. For an example, take a look at Zen Travel Croatia, they offer it for 50 euros which is a no brainer if you ask me. Luckily, there are plenty of local companies offering these day trips, and they are not really expensive tbh. Should think about it bit more, but since I’m not an experienced skipper I’ll guess first option will be my go-to. Since I don’t have my own boat, I’ll probably be picking up some scheduled tours or maybe rent-a-boat service. I’ve been hearing some great things about the Blue Lagoon, but if anybody there knows about any other cools places that I should see, I’m all ears. If there are any fans of Anvil in Split, we should meet up and maybe you can suggest me some places that I could visit. I really wish they would add more shows in south of Europe, because this month in August I’m visiting Split Croatia, and I would love nothing more than to quickly hope over to Germany or Austria and enjoy an hour or two of Anvil hits performed by the guys. I strongly suggest that you keep a close eye on their Facebook page, because that’s where they announce most of their shows.
#ANVIL BAND ALBUM COVERS UPDATE#
Still, I would like to make a quick update for everyone to see that Anvil is in the process of making a new album, and they just announced a bunch of new tour dates in both Europe and here in North America. Hello there fans of the best heavy metal band in the world, how have things been going? I myself have been busy and because of that you haven’t been hearing from me lately. Anvil 2019 tour and news about Blue Lagoon Tour Why don’t we go to the beginning and see how it all started back in the 80s in Canada. I hear that they still play small gigs in North America, and that’s very cool of them. They never really got into mainstream that much since their initial success back in the 80s, and they are older now, it’s been close to 40 years since the band was formed. I’m not surprised about the band not being active nowadays. Sadly the band isn’t really all that active on the concert scene during this modern age of high quality drones that can capture excellent quality video and sound so that we have that, but there’s still plenty of earlier video footage of the band, that’s worth checking out. Anvil has also played a huge role in my life and I thought I owe it to the guys to setup this website where I’ll talk about the band history, share their music and even some live footage from their gigs here in Germany. Anvil is an iconic heavy metal band from Canada and this website is an unofficial, fan made, tribute to this great band, who has had a huge influence on todays music.
